John Franklin CHILCOTT was born 03 Nov 1910, son of George Chilcott b. Cardiff (born in Wales, age 24, watchmaker) and Frances Elizabeth Somers (born in Brittonville, Ontario, Canada, age 22) recorded 04 May 1940. I think my grandfather was trying to change his surname about that time and probably needed a birth certificate to do so.
