LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT

I Emma R. Reuflin, unmarried, residing at 9349 Claremont Ave. of the City of Chicago in the County of Cook and State of Illinois, being of sound mind and memory, do hereby revoke any and all former wills or codicils by me made, and do make, ordain, publish and declare this my last will and testament.

FIRST. I direct that my executor hereinafter named, pay all my just debts and funeral
expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.

SECOND. I direct that before any final distribution of the estate is made, the sum of two thousand dollars ($2,000.00) each shall be paid to my sisters Elizabeth Marx and Isabelle Siebeck in recognition of a like sum previously advanced to my deceased sister Mae V. Williams. In the event that Isabelle Siebeck shall predecease me, I hereby give and bequeath the $2,000.00 provided to be given her to my niece Mrs. Evelyn Waechter. In the event that my sister Elizabeth Marx shall predecease me, I hereby direct that the $2,000.00 provided to be given her shall remain a part of my estate, to be distributed as stipulated hereinafter.

I direct that that portion of my estate that is composed of U.S. Government Defense and Savings Bonds shall be distributed to the P O D beneficiaries named on the individual bonds.

I hereby give, devise, and bequeath all of the rest, residue and remainder of my
estate, real, personal, or mixed, of whatsoever kind or nature and wheresoever situated, of which I may die seized or possessed, or to which I may be entitled at the time of my decease, or which may have lapsed by the prior decease f any beneficiaries, as follows:
1. To my sister Elizabeth Marx, one third. In the event that she shall predecease me I direct that one half her share shall be transferred, paid over and delivered to my sister Isabelle Siebeck; and one fourth shall be transferred, paid over and delivered to each of my nephews, Edward R. Williams and Lester F. Williams.
2. To my sister Isabelle Siebeck, one third. In the event that she shall predecease me, then I give, devise and bequeath her share to her daughter, Evelyn Waechter.
3. To my nephews Edward R. Williams and Lester F. Williams, one third, to be divided equally between them. In the event that either nephew shall predecease me, I direct that his share shall be paid to his surviving wife, to be used solely for the support and education of their mutual children.

I hereby appoint Edward R. Williams the executor of this, my last will and testament, and I direct that he shall receive the sum of two hundred dollars ($200.00) for his services hereunder, and I further direct that no surety bond shall be required of him. In the event that he shall predecease me, or shall resign, or shall become incapable of acting as such executor, I appoint his brother Lester F. Williams as executor under the conditions stipulated in this paragraph above. I hereby authorize and empower my executor, or his successor, in his absolute discretion, to sell, exchange, convey, transfer, assign, mortgage, pledge, invest or reinvest the whole, or any part of my real or personal estate, and I direct that in case my executor or his successor sell or convey any of my estate, he may do so for cash or on credit, or partly for cash and partly for credit, as in his sole discretion shall seem best. Distribution hereunder may be made in cash or in kind and the values placed by my executor as the property to be distributed shall be conclusive and binding on all beneficiaries.

LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF ELIZABETH MARX

I, ELIZABETH MARX, of Chicago, Illinois, declare this to be my last will and revoke all other wills and codicils that I may have made.

ARTICLE I — All inheritance, estate and succession taxes payable by reason of my death with respect to property passing under my will or any codicil, insurance on my life, United States savings bonds (however held) and property held by me jointly with any person with right of survivorship, and with respect to the interest therein of any person, shall be paid out of and be charged generally against the principal of my residuary estate, without reimbursement from any person.

ARTICLE II — give and bequeath:
1. To my sister EMMA REUFLIN, if she survives me:
a. The sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00)
b. All sums standing to my credit in any checking or savings account in a bank or in any share account in a savings and loan association;
c. All my personal and household effects such as jewelry, clothing, automobiles, furniture, furnishings and silver; and if she does not survive me the property herein bequeathed to her shall be distributed as part of my residuary estate.
2. To FLORENCE MARX ROSS, daughter of my late husband Simon Marx, if she survives me, the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00), and if she does not survive me said sum shall be distributed to her descendants per stirpes.
3. To ROBERT M. ROSS and DOROTHY R. MOOG, children of Florence Marx Ross and Bernard A. Ross and grandchildren of my late husband Simon Marx, the shares of stock of Hertz Corporation and the shares of stock of Fifth Avenue Coach Lines which at the date of my death are standing in the name of B. A. Ross as trustee. Said shares of stock shall be distributed to said beneficiaries in equal shares and if either of said beneficiaries does not survive me the shares bequeathed to said predeceasing beneficiary shall go to his or her descendants per stirpes, and if said predeceasing beneficiary leaves no descendants then surviving, the said shares of stock shall go to the survivor of said beneficiaries.
4. To SUZANNE MARX SHERMAN, the granddaughter of my late husband Simon Mars, the sum of Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00).
5. To ADELE ADLER MARX, the widow of Sidney Marx, the son of my late husband Simon Marx, the sum of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00).

ARTICLE III — All the rest, residue and remainder of my estate, being all property, wherever situated, in which I may have any interest at the time of my death not otherwise effectively disposed of, I give, devise and bequeath in equal shares to my nephews, LESTER F. WILLIAMS and EDWARD R. WILLIAMS, and in the event either of said nephews does not survive me, the share herein bequeathed to said predeceasing nephew shall be distributed to his descendants per stirpes.

ARTICVLE IV — I HAVE MADE NO PROVISION HEREIN FOR Sidney J. Marx, a grandson of my late husband Simon Marx, but I herein state that I am presently holding United States Government bonds in which he is named as an owner or as a beneficiary.

ARTICLE V — appoint my nephew EDWARD R. WILLIAMS as Executor of this will and in the event of his death, inability or resignation or refusal to act as Executor, I appoint my nephew LESTER F. WILLIAMS as Successor Executor. The Executor shall have the following powers and any others that may be granted by law, which may be exercised in his discretion without court order;
(a) To retain any property of my estate.
(b) To sell any real or personal property of my estate, for cash or on credit, at public or private sales, for any purpose; to exchange any such property for other property; to grant options to purchase or acquire any such property; and to determine the prices and terms of sales, exchanges and options.
(c) To employ attorneys, auditors, depositaries, proxies and agents, with or without discretionary powers; and to keep any property in the name of an executor or a nominee, with or without disclosure of any fiduciary relationship, or in bearer form.
(d) To collect, pay, contest, compromise or abandon claims of or against my estate, wherever situated; and to execute contracts, conveyances and other instruments, including instruments containing covenants and warranties binding upon and creating a charge against my estate, and containing provisions excluding personal liability.
(e) To make any distribution or division of my estate in cash or in kind or both.
(f) To allot different kinds of disproportionate shares of property or undivided
interests in property among the beneficiaries, and to determine the value of any such property.

Coburn, Alice Thompson – 1947

 I, ALICE THOMPSON COBURN, 1034 Linden Avenue, Cook County, Wilmette, Illinois, being of sound mind and memory and mindful of the uncertainties of human life, do make, publish and declare this to be My Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills, bequests, and devises by me made.

FIRST – It is my will that all my just debts, funeral expenses, and all other charges be paid out of my estate.

SECOND – I give, devise, and bequeath all of the remainder of my property, real, personal and mixed, to my beloved brother, Alonzo John Coburn of 1034 Linden Avenue, Wilmette, Illinois.

THIRD – I hereby nominate and appoint Miner T. Coburn the executor of this, My Last Will and Testament, and direct that no bond be required for the faithful performance of said trust, and hereby authorize him to compound, compromise, and settle any claim or demand which may be in favor, or against my estate, and to do and perform all things necessary and proper in the premises to carry out this, My Last Will.

FOURTH – In the event that my brother, Alonzo John Coburn shall predecease me, then I give, devise, and bequeath all of my property, real, personal and mixed, to my nephew, Miner T. Coburn.

In the Name of God, Amen. I, Flora A. Bennett of Chicago in the County of Cook and State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and trasitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament:

First,
I order and direct that my Executor hereinafter named pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.

Second,
After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved husband Wellington Bennett, my one-half (1/2) interest in the lot two story store and flat building situated at No. 2265 W. Harrison St. Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and at his death my said one-half (1/2) interest in same is to go my dearly beloved children to wit: Mrs. S Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva N. Hunter and William R. Holden and each to share and share alike.

Third,
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved husband Wellington Bennett all of my personal Property except one Uprigh Piano “Adam Achaaf” and that I give devise and bequeath to my beloved son William R. Holden, and my bed clothes I give to my dearly beloved children to wit: Mrs. S. Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva Hunter, and William R. Holden, and each to share and share alike.

Fourth,
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved children, to wit: Mrs. S. Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva Hunter and William R. Holden, my lot situated at Gross Dale Cook County Illinois and each to share and share alike.
