Bennett, Flora Anne Barnhill Holden – 1903
In the Name of God, Amen. I, Flora A. Bennett of Chicago in the County of Cook and State of Illinois being of sound mind and memory, and considering the uncertainty of this frail and trasitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament:
First,
I order and direct that my Executor hereinafter named pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon after my decease as conveniently may be.
Second,
After the payment of such funeral expenses and debts, I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved husband Wellington Bennett, my one-half (1/2) interest in the lot two story store and flat building situated at No. 2265 W. Harrison St. Chicago, Cook County, Illinois and at his death my said one-half (1/2) interest in same is to go my dearly beloved children to wit: Mrs. S Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva N. Hunter and William R. Holden and each to share and share alike.
Third,
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved husband Wellington Bennett all of my personal Property except one Uprigh Piano “Adam Achaaf” and that I give devise and bequeath to my beloved son William R. Holden, and my bed clothes I give to my dearly beloved children to wit: Mrs. S. Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva Hunter, and William R. Holden, and each to share and share alike.
Fourth,
I give devise and bequeath to my beloved children, to wit: Mrs. S. Jennie Bates, Mrs. Eva Hunter and William R. Holden, my lot situated at Gross Dale Cook County Illinois and each to share and share alike.
